Product Overview

Four and five … magical ages where futures are forged, friendships are made, and emotions run high. The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds is a groundbreaking series which traces the extraordinary – and yet, everyday – experiences of pre-schoolers in a social setting. The Secret Life's preschool is unique. Its every corner has been rigged with cameras and wired for sound, offering viewers rare access to the private world of children at a crucial stage of development, and an opportunity to witness how they navigate the social world; how they deal with problems and challenges; how they strive towards establishing their identity and independence; and how they respond to triumphs and disappointments.

The series runs over a course of five episodes, each themed around a different aspect of a child's social experience. The ten four-year-olds and ten five-year-olds make friends, learn how to resolve conflicts, and are put through a series of challenges while child psychology experts observe, comment and explain their behaviour.
