The F Ward is a medical drama series created by Dan Edwards that explores the high-stakes environment of the contemporary Australian public health system. Set within the underfunded halls of The Pines Hospital, the series follows a unique ‘last chance’ intern program designed for medical graduates who have already failed their first year. The narrative hook centres on this group of ambitious, flawed and incredibly intelligent young people who must navigate life-or-death situations to prove they belong in the profession, all while battling the rigid bureaucracy of a hospital structure that seems designed to see them fail.
