This article aims to better understand how some primary teachers in Queensland are negotiating competing ideologies when it comes to literacy – i.e. balancing the requirement that they teach media literacy and the requirement that they respond to escalating concerns over falling standards in more conventional forms of literacy. Includes ideas about a way forward – finding literacy links.
