Expanding our Literacy Repertoires: Using Film in Senior English Classrooms in Queensland

Anita Jetnikoff makes suggestions as to approaches in the study of film in senior English classrooms in Queensland since the updating of the Queensland Senior syllabus in English in 2002. This article explores the use of selected films in the context of the new English, which is infused with cultural studies and contemporary literacy and linguistic theories.
