Among a spate of collaborative Screen Australia endeavours, a pair of recent queer-themed projects – Network 10 documentary-funding initiative Out Here and ABC short-film series Love Bites – have shown what can be achieved with flexible running times and online delivery. In focusing on bodily performance and regional life respectively, each offer much-needed forms of representation – and, Kim Munro suggests, ought to be given the opportunity to reach a broader viewership.
