Product Overview

Trafficked: The Reckoning (Luigi Acquisto, 2011) is the inspiring story of former Federal Police officer Chris Payne's quest to find the man who enslaved a thirteen-year-old Thai girl in a Sydney brothel in 1995. This film is the next chapter in the story to bring this man to account. It follows on from Trafficked, a film made by Chris Payne and Luigi Acquisto in 2004 about the ongoing human tragedy of sex trafficking. In the words of director Luigi Acquisto: 'This documentary was inspired by a sense of outrage that the man who operated a Sydney brothel and prostituted a thirteen-year-old Thai girl had never been identified or charged.'

Trafficked: The Reckoning would be an excellent film to show to senior and tertiary students of:

  • Legal Studies
  • SOSE/HSIE
  • Politics
  • Women's Studies
  • Globalisation
  • Welfare Studies
  • Values and Ethics subjects
