Product Overview

Not Forgotten tells the stories of some of the men commemorated on World War One memorials around Australia. It examines the legacy of grief, loss and remembrance, to ensure that, more than ninety years on, these men are not forgotten. Some of their individual and family stories are vividly brought to life through photos, historical records and letters and family memories. In one sense the stories we see and hear in this film are representative of the 330,000 Australian men who served overseas during World War One. But, every man who served and those who died has their own story, their own family and their own experience of war. This film honours some of those memories. In tracing several individuals and their descendants whose names are on war memorials, we are shown how pride and grief are inextricably intertwined on these memorials.
