This teaching unit is based upon the 2025 limited film series, Adolescence, written and created by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne, and directed by Philip Barantini. The film follows the investigation of a 13-year-old boy who is accused of murdering a girl from his school. Ideas about the effects of online behaviour and influences, gender and masculinity, fatherhood and the influence of the 'manosphere' on vulnerable youth are examined.
