A young Indigenous man from Katherine in the Northern Territory gets caught up in a murder plot. He backs out of the plot, but ends up with the longest jail time of all involved, including the man who actually dealt the fatal blows and the killer's mother who paid for the hit. The judge called his own decision to send Zak Grieve to jail for life (with twenty years non-parole) an injustice, blaming the Northern Territory's mandatory sentencing laws.

ATOM has also produced a study guide for The Queen & Zak Grieve. This study guide is available for download here.
