WINNER – 5 AFI AWARDS including BEST PICTURE

THE 21st ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL EDITION

The Year My Voice Broke is set in the summer of 1962 in a remote New South Wales country town. Adopted as a baby, sixteen-year-old Freya (Loene Carmen) is a constant target of cruel gossip and speculation. Spirited and independent, her one ally is Danny (Noah Taylor), who has been in love with her as long as he can remember. From a distance, Danny watches helplessly as Freya falls for the town tearaway, Trevor (Ben Mendelsohn). Trevor and Freya's relationship has explosive results that change everything and trigger Danny's discovery of the town's darkest secret.

Winner of 5 AFI Awards, John Duigan's highly acclaimed and much loved coming-of-age story is one of the Australian film industry's most eagerly anticipated DVD releases ever.

Proudly presented by award-winning producers Kennedy Miller Mitchell (Happy Feet, Babe, Mad Max) to celebrate the 21st anniversary, experience the beauty, the drama and the emotion that is now available to enjoy again – along with new bonus features.

Special Features:

  • Director John Duigan in conversation with his three stars Noah Taylor, Ben Mendelsohn and Loene Carmen
  • Optional introduction to the feature from producer George Miller
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • Audio Commentary with John Duigan
