Daughter, The

During the last days of a once thriving Australian logging town, the long estranged son of a wealthy timber mill owner returns home. Now living in New York, Christian has been summoned by his father to be best man at his wedding to a much younger woman, an action which only furthers Christian's deep-seated resentment for his father. One reunion Christian does welcome is with childhood mate Oliver, who is now married with a teenage daughter. Oliver was once a great friend and is an all-round nice guy. However Christian soon discovers a long-buried secret, one which could tear Oliver's world apart and ultimately shatter the lives of many he left behind almost two decades ago.
