Product Overview

When Wayne, a young construction worker, rams into the back of his boss' Jaguar in a fit of anger at being scaked, he is given the opportunity to discuss his actions in a community conference, rather than going straight to court. What might seem like an insignificant open-and-shut case is slowly and skilfully revealed to be something far more complex.

Emmy-nominated and AFI Award–winning director Michael Rymer (Battlestar Galactica, Angel Baby) adapts for the screen and directs David Williamson's play Face to Face. It is part of the Jack Manning Trilogy which takes community conferencing as its format. Community conferencing – recently introduced to Australia – is explored in this engaging and heartfelt film which celebrates the strength of community over our rigid and often seemingly unfair court system. This multi–award winning film is a thought provoking drama that cleverly and honestly addresses many hot issues in Australia today including racism, bullying, infidelity and domestic abuse.

Face to Face has won over 35 awards locally and internationally and features an outstanding cast, including Vince Colosimo, Luke Ford, Matthew Newton and Sigrid Thornton.
