Product Overview

Take the pressure out of the VCE Media exam revision period

The ATOM VCE Media Written Exam 2026 Revision Series is a complete, ready-to-teach revision program designed to help teachers systematically guide students through the knowledge, skills, and exam technique they need before the exam. Each lesson has been designed as a complete 60-minute revision session, with accompanying resources that allow teachers to pick it up and teach it immediately. The package includes teacher lesson plans, presentation slides, student workbook activities, exam-style practice, sample responses, revision flashcards, assessment guidance and activities that help students understand what separates a basic response from a high-scoring one.

Questions and exam examples are drawn from the 2024 and 2025 VCE Media examinations and the sample examination for the current VCE Media Study Design, keeping the revision firmly focused on the examination students are actually preparing to sit. The series has been deliberately designed to be flexible. Teachers can run the five lessons as a structured revision program in class, select individual lessons to target areas of need, use activities for revision sessions, or provide components to students as independent study and take-home exam preparation.

That means less time creating revision materials — and more time actually working with students on the quality of their responses.

Five lessons. One complete exam revision program.

The series is organised into five focused lessons:

Lesson 1 — Introduction to the Exam
Understand the exam structure, command terms, mark allocations, timing and strategies for reading and planning.

Lesson 2 — Narratives & Contexts
Revise narrative, contexts and influences, and practise applying knowledge precisely to exam-style questions.

Lesson 3 — Media Production
Build confidence with the five stages of production and prepare students to respond flexibly to questions about their own work and hypothetical productions.

Lesson 4 — Agency & Control
Consolidate key concepts and develop the analytical skills needed to respond to questions about audiences, media influence, regulation, control and agency.

Lesson 5 — Extended Response
Learn how to unpack, plan and construct a sustained extended response, select relevant evidence and avoid common exam mistakes.
