'In February 2001 four hundred Australians randomly chosen by Newspoll were brought to Canberra for a weekend of intense debate, interaction with experts, and the chance to absorb a lot of information, both historic and contemporary. This process, called a 'deliberative poll', was on the topic of reconciliation. The film-makers, Rob Simms and Gillian Guthrie of ITEMedia, covered this process from the first opinion poll through a series of regional Indigenous forums around the country and finally to the weekend in Canberra.'
