'On these issues - violence, sex, drug use - there is a general consensus that they should be considered 'sensitive' and treated with special attention...But one other sensitive issue, or group of issues, does not enjoy the same sort of consensus: the depiction of gender, ethnicity, faith, class and sexual orientation.' This article looks at issues of integrity, restraint and glamourization in regards to media depictions of violence, sex, drugs and stereotypes, and looks at ways these issues might be debated and analysed in the classroom.
