Metafiction, intertextuality and intratextuality have long been used as tools with which to analyse literary texts in the English classroom, but with the curriculum's enhanced focus on multimodality, teachers are no longer confined to the page. Bridget Hanna uses an episode of TV series Supernatural to explore these concepts in the context of screen literacy.
