Invisible Powers

This article discusses the often uneasy relationship between media editors and proprietors, and the responsibility of journalists to maintain journalistic integrity in the face of the sometimes contradictory interests of their employers. An example cited in the article is the case of Brian Ross, an investigative reporter with the American ABC's current affairs program 20/20, and his investigation into claims of lax hiring practices and paedophilia at Disneyland, which was shut down when the ABC struck a merger with Disney.
