From Dresden to Dance Academy: An Interview with Maria Dragus

Australian audiences will probably be most familiar with German actress Maria Dragus from her role as Klara, the eldest daughter (and a prime suspect) in Michael Haneke's Palme d'Or winner The White Ribbon (2009). Those not old enough for that sort of film may know her from her stint as Petra Hoffman on the Sydney teen drama Dance Academy. It's quite a leap from the French Riviera to a harbour Down Under. Dean Robb caught up with her during the 2012 Berlin International Film Festival to find out what it was like to undertake these two very different roles.
