Constructing the Olympics: Activities for Upper Primary to Middle Secondary Years

The official Olympics broadcasters are in a powerful position to influence audience perceptions of sport and recreation, national identity, race, culture, gender and society, writes Emily Chen. By asking students to think about these issues we can begin to build an understanding of how coverage is constructed.
