Film as Text. This article analyses the nostalgic and utopian world as presented in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (Wes Anderson, 2004), focusing particularly on the way in which music fosters this sense of nostalgia. In doing so it further discusses the humour, quirk and irony of Anderson's films, revealing his obsession with the beauty of flaws and forgiveness.
