4us, a collection of four short films portraying the experiences of refugee teenagers in Melbourne, aims to avoid filmmaking artifice and a particular authorial viewpoint. Crafted through workshops involving groups of teenagers from Sudanese, Somali and Afghan backgrounds, each film has been effectively produced by the subjects. Includes a guide to using 4us in the classroom. By Myke Bartlett and Kate Raynor.
