Matthew Dillon, disappointed with the amount of Australian movies released this summer, sets out to find examples of high-quality Australian cinema. Films discussed include The Man Who Sued God (Mark Joffe, 2001), Mad Max (George Miller, 1979) and Mad Max 2 (1981), Ghosts… of the Civil Dead (John Hillcoat, 1988) and Rabbit-Proof Fence (Phillip Noyce, 2002).
