John Grech gives a brief introduction into the 13th International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam. He then goes on to discuss one of the two Australian films featured in this festival: Cunnamulla is a film set in rural Australia about rural Australians, a documentary portrait of the town in outback Queensland, and does with the moving image what Gerrit Fokkema and (indirectly) Sandy Edwards did with still photography for Wilcannia and Brewarrina respectively.
