NFSA Restores Collection: 'Proof'

Proof, director Jocelyn Moorhouse's first feature, boasts a subtle, sophisticated texture as it deals with profound issues such as disability, relationships, trust and truth. Much like in her dexterous 2015 film The Dressmaker, here, she demands serious attention from viewers – and, as Rose Lucas' perceptive, detailed study makes clear, such attention is amply rewarded.
