In the backwater town of Port Munro, it's not just the landscape that is broken – so, too, are the local community afflicted by ongoing crime and corruption. To Greg Dolgopolov, this Peter Temple adaption is worthwhile viewing, despite some problematic production decisions, for its insights into resilience and reparation.
