Document: Fantome Island

Fantome Island (Sean Gilligan, 2011) documents the experiences of patients on Fantome Island, a leprosarium off the coast of Queensland, and also those of the patients at leprosaria on the nearby Peel and Palm islands. The film presents an interesting yet unsettling account of both the macrocosm and microcosm of life in the leprosaria.
