'Fiona Eagger loves a good story, and for the producer of "Only the Brave" (Kokinos, 1993) and "Mallboy" (Giarrusso, 2001) that means "one with a heart". Both feature films are tough realist dramas about young people coping with difficult circumstances and came to her in the early stages of their development. "Mallboy" was a poem and "Only the Brave" a thirty minute script which was "bursting" to grow into a feature length film. Eagger always chooses projects she is prepared to travel with for some time because as a producer "you have to embody an idea and become the caretaker of it. To sell people the dream, which is what all films are, you need to believe in it." For Eagger producing is always a collaborative process with writer and director.'
