Can of Worms is an informal, entertaining and thought-provoking show that investigates the social mores we are faced with in our daily lives. In each televised episode of Can of Worms, host Chrissy Swan leads a panel of three celebrity guests through some of life's very curly moral dilemmas. From personal values and political correctness to racism, privacy, trust, safety and morality, the show is a perfect vehicle to generate debate on these sometimes sensitive issues. Like life itself, the series often opens up a Can of Worms.

This study guide reworks the on-air Can of Worms content into issues that face young people in our society on a daily basis. It presents students with an opportunity to formulate their own views and debate them with conviction. However an aspect of the Can of Worms show is that there can never be a 'wrong' answer. The only rule is that you are not allowed to sit on the fence!

Note: Due to the sometimes explicit nature of some of the worms discussed on the televised show it is recommended that teachers watch each episode before screening to their students in order to make an informed decision about whether the content and context is appropriate for their own classroom use.
