Calling The Shots is a compilation of three powerful and unique short films produced by arts advocacy collective Phunktional, working with students and community members from Mildura in Victoria, as well as artists and professional filmmakers. The films are highly recommended for secondary schools, tertiary media students and counsellors.
All three films make powerful statements about the lives of young people and their communities, and will be a very valuable resource for Media Studies and The Arts in general. They discuss important and sensitive issues, such as alcohol and drug abuse, teen suicide, and cultural and Indigenous issues.
