1902. The Australian Federation is one year old. Twelve-year-old Tom's beloved father Nat has dragged him and his sister to an isolated cabin in the bush with an evangelical dream to farm the land. But the dream has died and Nat is losing his grip on his sanity.
When three men arrive on horseback – ex-soldiers from the Boer War – Tom, like his father, believes they are providence. But their presence becomes more menacing when one reveals a rumour of gold. As this news starts to poison all around him, the cabin becomes a terrifying psychological battleground in which Tom is forced to choose between the ideals of his father and the basic laws of survival.
Aiden Young heads an outstanding ensemble cast in this taut claustrophobic thriller from director Kriv Stenders.
