This documentary chronicles the adventures and work of the nine Goodwill Youth Media Reporters for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games and tells the amazing story of how their voices were heard during one of the world's largest sporting events.
In March 2006, nine young people from Plan-supported youth media clubs in India, Ghana and Pakistan arrived in Melbourne to report on the Commonwealth Games from the unique perspective of children in developing Commonwealth countries.
Also included are the nine television news media stories produced by the youth reporters, focusing on the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games values of humanity, equality and destiny.
Through youth media projects such as this, young people are able to exercise their right to have their voices heard – both in their local communities in the developing world and on the global stage.
