Most men hold their head high, put their back to the wall and do what they must to give their family what they want. This is the story of one such man.
Eddy does what he has to do to give his family what they want. He owns a fish trawler, has a beautiful home with all the mod cons, an attractive wife, Yvonne, and a nineteen-year-old daughter, Chantelle. Life seems pretty normal, except for the last twenty-five years Eddy has been secretly moonlighting as a 'standover' man, Yvonne's considering having a fling with Paul the plumber and Chantelle's fiancé Rudi has seemingly 'disappeared'.
On top of all this, Eddy finds it hard to express how he feels, especially now that his 'little girl' is engaged and will soon be leaving the family home. So Eddy hatches a plan to better understand his daughter and recapture the closeness they once had. He enlists how new right-hand man, Dominic, to secretly read Chantelle's diary to him. Suddenly, Dad seems to understand his family, able to anticipate their every need. Yet in the process, more secrets than anyone was prepared for begin to surface with shocking yet hilarious results.
