Human Failings and Egg-beaters: Award-winning Short Films from the AFI's Collection

Lies and infidelity never do relationships much good, regardless of the sexual preferences involved. Night Out, the first of four award-winning films discussed in this article, revolves around both these human failings. Two others, Universal Appliance Company and Palace Cafe, are funny and creative explorations of simple stories and the last one, The Gap, is a very different look at suicide.
