Fantasy

This unit of work for lower to middle primary students has been created out of assignments completed by students undertaking the Bachelor of Education in the Faculty of Education, Language and Community Service at RMIT in 1999. Most primary teachers are unable to teach Media as a separate subject and incorporate it instead into English, Social Studies or Arts themes. This unit encourages teachers and students to integrate English and Arts through undertaking collaborative activities and themes which cross disciplines, e.g. colour, narrative, form, genre, rhythm, sequence, contrast, textures and mood, using media concepts to unify them.
