'Any adaptation from one medium to another is complex. Whether a writer is condensing a popular novel into a screenplay for a two-hour film or a television mini-series, or adapting a novel into a play, each adaptation has its own problems and structural issues to overcome. Each medium communicates with its audience/reader in different ways, and an author needs to effectively and efficiently use the communication tools appropriate for the medium she is writing for.'
