Trevor Graham has worked as a documentary producer and director since 1983. He has won numerous national and international awards. Amongst his credits are Land Bilong Islanders (1989), Red Matildas (1985), Painting the Town (1987, winner of an AFI Award for Best Documentary) and Aeroplane Dance (1996, winner of the Basil Wright Prize, Royal Anthropological Film Festival). Mabo: Life of an Island Man (1997) has been nominated for an AFI Award, Best Documentary 1997, and is the winner of the prestigious NSW Premier's Literary Award for Best Film Script 1997.
