Noel King interviews Edward Buscombe, Head of Publishing at the British Film Institute until he retired in 1996. He is the editor of The BFI Companion to the Western (1988), two volumes of The Screen Education Reader (1993 and 2000, co-edited with Manuel Alvarado and Richard Collins), Back in the Saddle Again: New Essays on the Western (1998, co-edited with Roberta Pearson) and numerous other publications.
