Comedian Carl Barron and Manny Lewis director Anthony Mir began their careers as stand-up comedians, yet the film is not a laugh-out-loud comedy, nor is it as wacky and colourful as Mir's You Can't Stop the Murders. Instead, it's gentle, bittersweet, and tackles some dark, personal material. Oliver Pfeiffer speaks to Mir and lead actress Leeanna Walsman about these and other aspects of the film.
