Rummaging Through the Rubble': Creative Constraints in Prototype's Rapid-response Care Package

With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing film and video art out from cinemas and galleries and tentatively into the online space, radical digital platform Prototype has led the way, offering a spate of short works responding to the lockdown. Looking at three of these films – Robert Nugent's Picnic Places, Leyla Stevens' Scenes for Solace and Sarah Hadley's Noli Me Tangere (Touch Me Not) – Kim Munro finds artworks that both flourish through limitations and reflect our fraught current moment.
