Forty years on, Sydney's Mardi Gras festivities remain both a celebration of the diversity of LGBTQIA+ communities and a reminder of the battles for equality fought and won. Marking this anniversary is Jeffrey Walker's Riot, which dramatises the historic events of 1978 – but its telemovie format is not without limitations, writes Glenn Dunks.
