Checking back in with the subjects of predecessor film The Oasis a decade later, Sascha Ettinger Epstein's Life After the Oasis finds adults who have carved for themselves stabler, more purposeful lives than in their wayward teenage years. As a piece of cinematic activism, the documentary also shines a revealing light on the worsening issues of homelessness and social inequality plaguing contemporary Australia, writes Hanna Schenkel.
