Internet Censorship in Australia

The battlelines have been drawn and the parties have dug in. Or so it seemed until recently (at the time of writing in 1996) when the Australian Broadcasting Authority (ABA) released its report on regulating online services, which has breathed an air of common sense into an environment of escalating hysteria amongst politicians, community groups, internet service providers and internet users all concerned about censorship of the internet or lack thereof.
