Before shooting started on Rabbit-Proof Fence (Phillip Noyce, 2001), Ingo Petzke and Ian Stocks were able to conduct three lengthy interview sessions in Wurzburg (Germany), Los Angeles and Moscow for their upcoming book, You Like to Watch, Don't You? Phillip Noyce and His Films. Noyce was extremely cooperative and approximately forty hours of material was recorded. This article reassembles some personal remarks on more general aspects of the filmmaking process.
