Product Overview

Travelling Birds provides opportunities for the teacher to encourage student investigation of a range of concepts, from across key learning areas, such as bird migration, biodiversity, change and continuity, survival, habitat, natural cycles and systems, adaptation, communities, interdependence, needs. Students may also be encouraged to learn more about how elements of film create and communicate messages. The film is viewed at its best in a cinema. However, some teachers may decide it is more appropriate for their students to view the film over several sessions, rather than one screening. Many of the suggested activities will require viewing scenes of the film several times to gather data.
