This is a refreshing and engaging documentary about one of the most popular children's entertainment groups of the past few decades. The film reveals the journey that this group has taken, from a slow start, to children's entertainment phenomenon, Gold and Platinum album status, four ARIA Awards and membership of the 2006 BRW Rich List. The film is essentially the story of four talented, adventurous and extraordinarily hardworking performers – Anthony, Jeff, Murray and Greg. They have drawn on their shared backgrounds in early education and music, to craft an entertainment package that taps perfectly into the interest and attention span of the pre-school child. With their signature coloured skivvies, their simple but catchy tunes and their stylized actions the four have danced and sung their way into an estimated fifty per cent of Australian homes with children under six. Moreover, the popularity of The Wiggles has spread far beyond our shores. Enthusiastic followings in Europe, America and Asia have ensured that their recent tour 'Racing to the Rainbow' has been a sell out wherever it has been performed.
This is, however, more than a documentary about a group of entertainers. It is also the tale of a business and marketing phenomenon and of people who know what they are doing, have stuck to their core business for over fifteen years and who had the courage and confidence to back their own judgement.
