The One and Only is a mini-documentary series that explores what it's like to be a 'one and only' contemporary Indigenous youth living in Australia today. The One and Only was a great opportunity for seven Western Australian Indigenous youth to tell a unique cutting-edge story in a three-minute documentary.
Seven filmmakers were selected and so the journey began. Of the seven filmmakers, two were from the Kimberley region and the other five were local Perth filmmakers. The seven filmmakers took part in an initial workshop, a kind of Filmmaking 101, giving them the opportunity to learn the basics of filmmaking from industry professionals and at the same time get more comfortable with their own story ideas.
