Ever wondered what it would be like to leave an extremely cushy job in the city and try to set up a small farm?

Join Matthew Evans on his farm in Tasmania's Huon Valley as he adjusts from being Australia's most feared restaurant critic to learning exactly where his food is coming from.

Having spent most of his life writing about what good food actually is, Evans now wants to go directly to the source. He wants to find the best local produce. He wants to rear pigs, chooks, sheep and a cow. He wants to grow his own vegetables and create his own artisan food products. And then he wants to have lots of his old and new friends over to share in the spoils.

The only problem is, he doesn't know how to chop wood, knows nothing about growing vegetables and even less about rearing animals. However, he does know how to eat.

How hard can it be?
