Product Overview

On Thin Ice: Jade's Polar Dream is the story of fourteen-year-old Jade Hameister's amazing trek on skis across the ice to the Geographic North Pole, the first of three polar expeditions she is intending to complete by the end of 2017. With her father Paul and polar guide Eric Philips, they cross the white wilderness, pulling all they will need behind them on a trek they need to complete in twelve days. The expedition is captured on film, along with the preparations Jade and her father make before setting out. This is an inspirational story of passion, perseverance and self-belief, set in a little-known world that is as beautiful as it is remote, cold and inhospitable.
