A knock at a boy's window changes two lives forever.
Directed by Rachel Perkins (Bran Nue Dae, Radiance), Jasper Jones (2017) is an adaptation of Craig Silvey's popular and successful eponymous 2009 novel. It's the story of Charlie Bucktin, a bookish fourteen-year-old boy living in a small town in Western Australia in the late 1960s. His adventures with Jasper Jones, an older Aboriginal boy with a mysterious past and potentially dangerous future, make Charlie grow up fast and find courage he didn't know he possessed.
