Norfolk Island: Kingston & Arthur's Vale Historic Area
This feature-length documentary chronicles the legacy of settlements in Kingston and Arthur's Vale Historical Area (KAVHA) site in Norfolk Island. It affords the viewer a greater understanding of the pre-European settlement, the First Settlement (1788-1814), The Convict Penal Settlement (1825-1855), to the current settlers, the Pitcairners as descendants of the Bounty Mutineers who arrived in Norfolk Island on 8th June 1856. The documentary conveys the drama and tension of historical events by sharing the visual reproductions of images and artifacts, using modern cinematography, poetic narration and engaging, theatrical music.
